Maintain records and compile stock reports. Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities Receives, counts, and stores items. Records receiving data using computer. Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items, using identification tag, stamp, or electronic marking tool or other labeling equipment. Identifies incorrect/short shipped items and immediately notifies supervisor. Delivers products, supplies, and equipment to designated area. Verifies computations against physical count of stock. Examines and inspects stock items for wear and defects. Works closely with purchasing to track shortages for late/slow delivery. Nature and Scope Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor. Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor. None. Work Environment Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy

As a warehouse associate, managing the physical demands of the job can be a major challenge. Lifting heavy items and standing for long periods can take its toll, especially during peak seasons when the workload increases significantly. Accuracy and speed are also critical when picking and packing orders. I manage a team and the daily activities of the warehouse. Coordinate the receipt, storage, and evaluation of inventory. 3. What do you enjoy most about your work? I enjoy creating processes and root causing issues to generate a more efficient workspace. 4. What do you like most about CPM? We are a global company, but it can feel like we operate on a smaller scale. We don’t have all the red tape that large companies tend to have to accomplish goals. 5. What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Outside of work, I enjoy running, kayaking, and hiking with my family and pup. There is nothing better than a beautiful day outside. Ever wondered what a Warehouse Manager does? Sharon Martin reveals all. She looks after our Cumbernauld warehouse in Scotland which is 63,000 sq ft and holds 9,000 pallets. Tell us about an average day... "My day nearly always starts with reviewing systems and emails. But from that point onwards there is no knowing what I'll get involved in! It all depends on what happens in the warehouse and the urgency of whatever happens. But some of my regular tasks include inspecting the warehouse for potential risks, checking stock, and processing orders and invoices." What skills do you need for this job? "Being organised is key - you have to juggle a lot of tasks and liaise with lots of different people. You need to thrive on variety as well - one minute I could be speaking to a customer about their stock requirements, the next I could be arranging an MHE repair, and the next I might be involved in a BRCGS audit!"
