These are questions that I’ve started asking donors — and it feels like a total *DUH* moment to think about sharing them, too!

Founder, Donor Participation Project & Annual Fund Toolkit

Next time you’re featuring a donor, forget the virtue signaling. Instead, try this. Have them speak about the nitty-gritty of how they give: - Do they have a set budget? - Do they involve their partner? - Do they give at set times every year? - Have they set up recurring gifts on their credit card or from their DAF/bank? This is more likely to be effective, based on research by Katy Milkman, professor at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. The best way to acquire new behaviors is by copy-pasting the life hacks of those who are successful. Giving frequently and generously to causes you believe in is a life skill that can be learned. My giving hack? Monthly giving, hands down. Which is yours?
