Dear friends After having worked for three decades in HR domains in which I have worked 11 years in Facility and Food / Catering Management Services, I am writing to propose a strategic shift in recruitment approach by advocating for the recruitment of facility, food catering, and utility management staffs at the site level. This transformational change has the potential to not only streamline recruitment process but also address several key challenges within our organization, such as reducing compliance burden, attrition, absenteeism, and revenue issues. CAREER IN HUMAN RESOURCES Many of us the is in the Human Resource space today found ourselves there by accident. I don't think also there is any child you will ask what the child wants to become in the future and the child will say a human resource personnel. Growing up I told my mom I want to become a Police 👮 Officer and that dream I had till I became a human resources professional. I became a Human Resource personnel through my CEO who was also the MD of Bolton White Hotel. The GM of the hotel had complained about the "incompetency" of the HR team at the moment and their inability to handle confidential matters. My CEO of Hecta Resources who was also the MD of the Hotel then recommended me to be helping them out with some HR functions such as top recruitment and terminating process. Later I was in charge of compliance and discipline. Gradually, performance management slid in before I resigned. Two years later, I got a job in a coal mine at Kogi as an HRBP and so my HR journey continued. It was only in Kogi I knew the opportunities that abound in the HR space. That's why you hear nomenclature such as HR Business Partner like Bolanle Onime.
