Helping wicked smart leaders elevate their leadership results while reducing stress and embracing their own unique strengths to gain meaningful success.
Juneteenth marks the day enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, finally received news of their freedom. It's a day of celebration, but also a stark reminder of the long road to equality. Freedom for some did not mean freedom for all. The legacy of slavery continues to shape our nation, and the fight for true justice continues today. We must acknowledge the past, its pain, and its resilience. We must use this day to reflect on the ongoing struggle for racial equity. How can we be better allies? How can we dismantle the systems that perpetuate inequality? Let Juneteenth be a day of resolve. Let's recommit ourselves to building a more just and equitable future for all. #Juneteenth #BlackLivesMatter #Equality ✊

Being woke goes beyond simply acknowledging problems; it emphasizes a commitment to understanding the complexities of these issues and taking meaningful action to promote positive change. It's a continuous journey of learning, empathy, and advocacy for a more just and equitable world. Let's find the courage to fight for justice. "Diversity asks, 'Who's in the room?' Equity responds: 'Who is trying to get in the room but can't? Whose presence in the room is under constant threat of erasure?' Inclusion asks, 'Have everyone's ideas been heard?' Justice responds, 'Whose ideas won't be taken as seriously because they aren't in the majority?' Diversity asks, 'How many more of [pick any minoritized identity] group do we have this year than last?' Equity responds, 'What conditions have we created that maintain certain groups as the perpetual majority here?' Inclusion asks, 'Is this environment safe for everyone to feel like they belong?' Justice challenges, Whose safety is being sacrificed and minimized to allow others to be comfortable maintaining dehumanizing views?" - Dr. DL Stewart Reposted from @antiracisteducation #Repost @woketeachers #socialjustice #justice #humanrights #equality #blm #activism #community #racism #racialjustice #feminism #antiracism #bethechange #activist #politics #equity #civilrights #freedom #nojusticenopeace #diversity #socialchange
