Tom Brady always shares enlightening and insightful thoughts. There's no doubt that everyone can learn a ton from him. What stuck with me was this: Brady believes that college players were better prepared when he entered the scene than they are now. #football #americanfootball #college #collegefootball #nfl #nflfootball #tombrady #leadership #mindset #leadershipmindset #leadershipinsights #wisdom #WisdomFromBrady #insights #InsightfulTalks #learnfromthebest #collegeathletes #preparation #PreparationMatters #AthleteWisdom #AthletePreparation #sports #SportsTalks #brady #quotes #TimeWithTom

High-performing legendary QB, Tom Brady, took advantage of performance-based skills at an early age because he had great coaching and attitude. He utilized drive, optimism, confidence, focus, patience, coachability, perseverance, and the #PerformanceMindset to get his shot, even though he was initially only getting 2 reps in practice. He demonstrated the difference between complaining about what you don’t have or focusing on what you can control. Don’t complain, take control. 🫵🏼 Find out how by picking up your copy of The 9th Stratum today! #9thStratum #performancebasedskills #tombrady
Fred Duncan on Instagram: "This entire interview is incredible. Must watch for those who play or work in sports. There’s too much focus on other people, or factors outside of your control. He wasn’t the clear starter at ANY level - not high school, college, or pro, yet ended up being the greatest of all time… #tombrady #tombrady12 #motivational #motivation #sportpsychology #motivationalquotes"

I believe sports are a great teacher. Even if you are not playing at a professional level, sports allow you to disassociate with from your conscious mind AND/OR practice intense levels of hyper focus. The mental side of sports has to be practiced, refined, and implemented in order to find success on the field, court, pool, or course. The mind should be trained just as much as the body when it comes to athletics. It is no different in business, you have to train your mind for different moments, whether it is being on stage for a presentation or pitch, or putting in hyper focus to build an important slide deck or grind through emails in a loaded inbox. Too often we look at the masters of their craft in sports or business and think, "Wow, they have it so under control", but more often than not, that is not the case! Recently Novak Djokovic (one of the greatest tennis champions of all time) was on 60 minutes, and one quote from the interview stood out for me from the rest: "I might appear maybe locked in, but trust me there is a storm inside." -Novak Djokovic It is a longer video, but the mental practice side goes from 3:17 to 4:50. Take a listen. https://lnkd.in/eCYvYiR6 #sports #mental #mentalhealth #focus #practice

I build and protect reputations. By fostering two-way communication. And telling great stories really well.
Oh man! Why, oh why, do organisations keep doing this? 'This' being fielding execs who are obviously not in the right space (time-wise, training-wise or emotionally) to be doing media interviews. I'll be the first to say that media stand-ups can be difficult and stressful. My heart goes out every time to interviewees who are put under the spotlight like this. But there are quick and easy things you can do to make a tough situation easier. For instance, #MediaTraining 1.01 dictates being prepared for the obvious questions. This clearly was not the case here. https://lnkd.in/g7QW8pTu #corporatecommunication #publicrelations #reputationmanagement
