I am super excited that Andreessen Horowitz has raised a new set of funds including a new infrastructure fund. One a more personal note, I am even more excited to be be part of the investment team for that fund. There are two reasons for this. First, I genuinely think that for a start-up a16z is a great choice as an investor. At Yubico, I got a first hand experience how a16z's support functions can add value to early stage companies. As an example, in one quarter, a substantial (IIRC > 50%) of our pipeline was from a16z G2M briefings. That's huge. Second, this is one of the best teams that I have ever worked with. A collection of extremely smart and individuals, with a diverse skill set, moving extremely quickly and with a clear overall direction.
