In early June, some of our team members used their volunteer hours to join beach cleanup efforts at Hampton Beach, NH, alongside several other local B Corps and the Blue Ocean Society. Together, they were able to collect over 56lbs of trash from the area. We are so grateful to our collective for continuing to show up and use our volunteer paid time off benefit to give back to their local communities. Thank you MegaFoodies!

This month, we’re excited to feature our 1% for the Planet partners National Young Farmers Coalition, an intersectional coalition with chapters across the U.S. that advocate for food and farm policy that serves the new generation of farmers and ranchers. Annually, MegaFood employees get 24 hours of volunteer paid time off because we believe in supporting our local communities. Last week, members of our Marketing team volunteered at The Food Project's Baker Bridge Farm location, where they helped on-site with mulching and planting. The Food Project supports food access initiatives in Boston's Dudley neighborhood. The produce that they grow is distributed at a SNAP/HIP-accessible farmer's market, is donated to several hunger relief organizations and is sold through The Food Project's CSA farm share. So far, MegaFood employees have already volunteered almost 150 hours, with big plans for the rest of the year!
