✨Exciting news✨ We've found our new Chief Academic Officer, Nisha Vasavada! Nisha is a transformative educator who’s known for her outcomes. As a teacher, her students were in the 98th percentile for growth. She’s worked as a Principal-in-Residence at Achievement First charter schools in New York, as a Founding School Leader with KIPP Public Schools charter network and as a coach for schools nationwide with Attuned Education Partners. Our leaders kicked off this week preparing for the 2024-25 school year by engaging in a summer professional development retreat, focusing on how to support exceptional teaching to drive student achievement. We’re looking forward to the year ahead - there’s nothing more critical than our students’ success.

Superintendent Chris Neeley and district staff celebrated with our newest charter schools, Palmetto Career Academy, Pee Dee Innovation and Leadership Academy, Greer Preparatory Academy (middle school for Greer Middle College Charter High School), Meeting Street Schools Spartanburg, and The Pivot School, as they were in our office for training. These schools are focused on making a meaningful impact on students and families in their community. #KidsFirst
