My hearty appreciation to Pharmarack for this insightful presentation with case studies. At the same time, one MUST remind the Marketing Teams & CEOs in IPM about exercising caution on emulating this insight. Unless a Brand is built stronger in perception for Brand Character, lining up the Brand extensions will not help to build those type of Brands in case studies. The IPM is scattered with examples of brands with a tail of extensions and weak market presence. Unless the “Mother” is strong in Brand Strengths, making her to produce like pet breeding farms will make the “mother” weak. We shall remember that the mother brands in these case studies are built stronger with its own brand characteristics. Timing the line extensions with appropriate strategic fit for customer segments is the key to emerge as the next best “Mother Brand” case study. Pharmarack SMSRC
