Did you know that many of our team members have clinical backgrounds that significantly contribute to our expertise at Medica? In celebration of our 20th anniversary, we are showcasing a series of photographs of our team in their earlier clinical roles. First, we feature Kevin Terrins, Director of Corporate Development at Medica, who reflects on his time as a radiographer at Central Middlesex Hospital A&E in 1999. ‘Part of the reason I moved to London was CMH were supporting role extension for radiographers. This included an enhancement of the well-established ‘red dot’ system which was in use around the country. When radiographers see an abnormality, they place a red dot on the film to let the doctor in A&E know we didn’t think it was normal. After appropriate inhouse training at CMH we also included a short informal note detailing what the abnormality was in addition to placing a red dot on the image’.
