I have come across a recommendable and thorough course on science communication by Jason Pridmore and Marina Tulin from RSM Erasmus University. The course, titled 'Communicating Trustworthy Information in the Digital World,' is publicly available on Coursera within the scope of the TRESCA (Trustworthy, Reliable and Engaging Scientific Communication Approaches) project. Interesting insights into the broad context in which science is conducted and communicated in the digital age, including a reflection on the role of values, biases, and interests of the actors involved. Link to the interview with Jason Pridmore, who is also a part of COALESCE SciComm: https://lnkd.in/d_ZZSSgw #ScienceCommunication #SciComm

As I enter the final phase of my doctoral journey, here are a few ways you can help me: 1. Pray or send kind words my way - affirmations are great 2. Ask me about my research and research question - this will help me prepare for my defense 3. Coffee is life right now so feel free to send some my way 4. Give me grace - I might not respond quickly or always be available, but please know it is not personal. #futuredoctor #organizationalleadership #doctoraljourney #DrClaycomb

#governingboards of institutions of #highereducation, there is a wealth of knowledge sprinkled throughout this interview of two titans in the field of how decisions get made and how those can be better formed decisions. One gem: read about the "pre-mortem" technique ask yourself, can this be applied to an upcoming board discussion about an important decision we're contemplating?
Strategic decisions: When can you trust your gut?
