🦠 Did you know that it is difficult to control Salmonella in poultry flocks? This is mostly due to feed contamination, but also the health and susceptibility of poultry: • 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 during various stages of processing, storage, and transport • 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 of young animals and those experiencing stress or diseases • 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 from other Salmonella-infected animals • 𝗔𝘀𝘆𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗲 allowing Salmonella to persist within the flock • 𝗜𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 due to tolerance to Salmonella infections 📖 Want to know how to tackle these challenges in your poultry farm? Bird Flu Outbreak in US, Eight Cases Reported, CDC Monitoring Situation https://lnkd.in/d85jn7_b US officials reported four new cases of bird flu on Monday, bringing the total to eight. All four infected individuals are farm workers at the same poultry farm, as per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This latest news comes during a troubling outbreak of the virus among cattle, which has also resulted in human infections. Another case is suspected but still needs confirmation. The CDC reassured that the risk to the general American population remains low. The infected workers experienced symptoms such as conjunctivitis and flu-like illness. An outbreak of bird flu was first detected in the US in spring. A notable aspect of this outbreak is its spread to cattle, initially affecting poultry and birds. The first case of human infection via cattle was reported on April 1 in Texas. Two more cases followed in Michigan, and in early July, another case emerged in Colorado.Colorado is now witnessing the virus spreading among both livestock and poultry. Experts are worried about the increasing number of mammals contracting the disease, although human cases are still rare. There is concern that a high rate of transmission...

DID YOU KNOW THAT ANIMAL FEED RAW MATERIALS REQUIRE SANITIZATION Poultry diseases are on the rise & one of the biggest risks facing poultry farmers majorly as a result of the changing quality of animal feed ingredients like animal proteins & cereal grains that contain pathogens. Pathogens in raw materials vary depending on growing seasons, regions as well as transport and storage conditions. Therefore, pathogens entering the feed via contaminated ingredients can persist and thrive in feed during production and even after it reaches the farm. It is important to check raw materials contamination risk and determine if a feed pathogen control solution should be applied before using the ingredients. This is important for developing a comprehensive feed biosecurity program and protecting against diseases & infections. To learn more about feed sanitation and effective feed pathogen control programs, contact your clean feed expert today. ✉️0701848739 📞0752236946 WE ARE LISTENING

*Septicemia "blood poisoning" in Poultry* Septicemia - is a serious and potentially life-threatening condition in which bacteria or other pathogens enter the bloodstream, causing a systemic infection. It can affect various animals, including chickens. Septicemia in poultry can be caused by different bacteria, such as Salmonella, Escherichia coli (E. coli), and other pathogens. To address septicemia in poultry, various management and treatment strategies may be employed, including antibiotics and biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of disease. If you suspect that your layer birds are affected by septicemia or any other health condition, it is crucial to consult a veterinarian with expertise in poultry health. They can provide a proper diagnosis and recommend appropriate treatment options based on the specific situation and the pathogens involved.

Red mites, also known as chicken mites or poultry mites, are harmful pests that can negatively impact the poultry on your farm. They feed on the blood of poultry, leading to anemia, decreased egg production, and overall weakness in the birds. Red mites also cause significant discomfort and irritation to poultry, leading to stress, restlessness, and in severe cases, pecking and feather loss among the birds. They can act as vectors for various poultry diseases, potentially spreading pathogens and causing illness among the flock. For these reasons, it is important for you to implement effective prevention and control measures to manage red mite infestations and protect the health and well-being of your birds. Enter Organ-X, our naturally effective range of pest solutions and poultry hygiene that tackle the problem fast, but with the environment in mind. As reported last week, the US Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic recently reviewed classified U.S. Department of State documents that credibly suggest COVID-19 originated from a lab related accident in Wuhan. The documents also strongly convey that their Government attempted to cover-up the lab leak. Chairman Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio) is requesting the State Department rapidly declassify this information and share the truth about the origins of COVID-19 with the American people. Now the US is experiencing a nationwide spread of the H5N1 virus (Bird Flu) that species jumped to cows and has caused outbreaks in dairy regions across 9 states. Poultry farmers, egg producers, poultry food manufacturers and fast food retailers are facing disaster as the CDC reports that already 90 million birds have been infected across 48 states, in only a matter of months. Last month a worker on a dairy farm in Texas was confirmed to have contracted the virus, another person working with poultry in Colorado was also confirmed to have contracted Bird Flu. Perhaps more alarmingly, are the concerns expressed by the former CDC director Dr. Robert Redfield as aired in this interview about what's happening in US virus "research" labs. What does this mean for Australia's poultry, dairy, cattle and healthcare businesses. I'm not sure, but my advise would be - Don't wait to see what might happen and then get taken along for the ride. Get proactive and get protective. There are ways to mitigate the spread of airborne viruses. #H5N1 #dairy #poultry #cattle
