🎉 Exciting News! Our research paper "M2M-InvNet: Human Motor Cortex Mapping From Multi-Muscle Response Using TMS and Generative 3D Convolutional Network" is now available on IEEE TNSRE journal. 🧠 In this pioneering study, we tackle the challenging task of motor cortex mapping by leveraging MEP (motor evoked potential) responses picked up by surface EMG, from transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Our work presents a generative 3D ConvNet (3D CNN) for this inverse imaging. 🔬 This research has potential implications for personalized brain stimulation therapies and could substantially enhance our understanding of neuromodulation effects on muscle activation. 👁️🗨️ Access our full paper to dive into the details of our methods and findings here: https://lnkd.in/gjeyJy6B 🤝 I am grateful to all my collaborators for their continued guidance, support, and patience. From conception to publication, this work took 4+ years. While this timeline might be at odds with the lifecycle of many recent papers on AI, perseverance is often key to the scientific process and progress, particularly, for an interdisciplinary project such as this. #GenerativeModeling #Neuromodulation #3DConvNet #InverseImaging #MotorCortexMapping #TMS #EMG
