After two decades in R&D with a global company like Procter & Gamble, I am now back to school and exploring another field (#MMKG at Schulich School of Business - York University). I was thrilled and honored to give my point of view on the Bud Light Boycott yesterday at the SMU Cox School of Business. Student reaction and participation was awesome! This is my 5th year with the SMU Business Leadership Center! BTW- My findings: *Sound strategy to target tomorrow’s LBGT beer drinkers *Monumental executional failure… Marketing Malpractice! Highly polarizing spokesperson doesn’t appeal to beer drinkers VP’s interview ignited a firestorm of adverse commentary Poor approval process and governance *Inconsistent with “Easy to Drink. Easy to Enjoy” company mission *Remember to Love Your Customers! Additionally…1)separate ideology from traditional customer-based decision making; 2) understand that controversial business decisions will be highly scrutinized by internet commentators who can influence customer thinking; 3) always to talk to your heavy user customers before embarking into a social conversation; 4) marketing leaders don’t “own the brand” - they are custodians; customers own the brand.

🎓 Reflecting on My Journey Post-Graduation 🚀 Also, my first LinkedIn post! No better way to start my writing journey with a look back of the past 1 year. Yep..It's been slightly over a year since I graduated from SMU and entered the workforce, and the journey has been nothing short of enlightening. One of the most impactful experiences during my time at SMU was partnering with live companies to solve their real-world problems. In our groups, we were constantly challenged to think out of the box and craft innovative ideas to differentiate ourselves. I vividly recall the thrill of competition, eagerly awaiting to see which group would strategize the best solution accepted by the clients. These experiences honed my problem-solving skills and taught me the importance of collaboration and creativity in today's dynamic business environment. Fast forward to today, these experiences have profoundly shaped my approach as a salesman. Understanding and uncovering customer pain points and needs has become second nature to me. This comprehensive understanding enables me to strategize and tailor the best solution for each client, ultimately driving better results and building lasting relationships. I'm grateful for the foundation SMU has provided me and excited for the opportunities ahead as I continue to grow and excel in my career. Here's to embracing challenges and striving for excellence every step of the way! 🚀

how to post.. interning at KD warehouse myton, Utah. There is always something that needs done.My job can be very busy doing things such as shrink wrapping pallets or bagging grain, we have to load flat trailers with forklifts. We also have to pick up trash there is lots of stuff that needs done. Sometimes if pallets come in looking rough we will stack the chemical onto a new pallet and re shrink it. or we will have to drip dry drums and totes. Or loading empty drums on a trailer but sometimes. We can have something like moving pigs into farrowing crates. Or raking hay it just depends. But for example when we bag grain. We have to either hold the bags by hand under the auger and fill them that way they run about 70lbs. But occasionally someone wants a bigger bag we will use a forklift we stay pretty busy that way. and when we almost run out of grain we just make up another batch in our mixer.

Meet Dilpreet Kaur, a senior scientist here at Clorox. When Dilpreet first entered the field, her workplace expectations weren’t exactly met — yet. “As a scientist, I always thought I wanted to do research, and I tried the academia route, but it seemed a little slow-paced for me,” she says. With our launch timelines anywhere from three months to 24 months, Dilpreet believed consumer goods might be a better fit. “My friends use our products, my family uses our products, the doctors I go to use our products,” she says. “So, when I think about the work I do to change Clorox wipes for the better, I think about how many people are benefiting from that. Whether it's spending less time cleaning and more time hanging out with their kids, or they're making sure their patients are safe in that hospital room ... yeah, our work is important.” Her passion for science is evident both within her team and within her community. “I love that we can make science approachable,” she says. “I volunteer with Clorox and outside of Clorox on STEM initiatives, making sure people have access to science, technology, engineering and math.
