Well here are some alternative solutions to this archticture: AWS Step Functions: This can run multiple AWS Lambda functions, each with its own 15-minute execution time limit. AWS Batch: Batch is designed for running parallel, high-performance computing jobs. But your workload should be able to be parallelized. AWS Fargate: But of course, your workload must be containerized. This pattern describes how to use AWS Transit Gateway, an inbound Amazon Route 53 Resolver endpoint, and a shared Route 53 forwarding rule in order to resolve the DNS queries from the resources in connected VPCs. You create the endpoint, transit gateway, Resolver, and forwarding rule in the hub account. Then, you use AWS Resource Access Manager (AWS RAM) to share the transit gateway and the forwarding rule with the spoke VPCs. The AWS CloudFormation templates provided help you deploy and configure the resources in the hub VPC and spoke VPCs. https://lnkd.in/dW6yY_rP

Going to clear one of my Best Draft Posts Ever.. Question: Application hosted on AWS Workload, receives traffic only on Weekdays in Business Hours only. How can we optimize Cost in this Case? Answer: Instance Scheduler - Custom Solution on AWS [CFN Template] In Simple, Start and Stop EC2 and RDS DB's at Scheduled Times. Use Tags to include resources into this Solution. In Depth, With Parameters in Solution Template, Create Snapshot of RDS Instances. Snapshots are kept until the next time the Scheduler is run and New Snapshot is created. Also, RDS Instance has Weekly Maintenance Windows by AWS. During which any RDS Instance stopped for more than 7 days will be started for Maintenace Activity, but not Stop the Instances started for Maintenance. The solution for Amazon RDS instances lets you include their preferred maintenance window as part of their schedule, starting the instance at the window's beginning and stopping it at the end, if no other running period is specified. If maintenance isn't finished within the window, the instance runs until the scheduled interval after maintenance completion. #instance #aws #customsolutions #architecting #costoptimization
