This is how Mattson Technology Singapore celebrated and welcomed the Year of Dragon!
Yusheng (鱼生), commonly referred by the Singaporeans as “Loi Hei” (捞起) is a deep-rooted Chinese New Year’s tradition in Singapore!
The Singapore team welcomes the Year of Dragon with Loi Hei of abundance and good fortune on 1 February 2024. We had our Chinese New Year’s lunch at Uncle Leong Seafood.
This is our Loi Hei of abundance & prosperity!
What is in the Loi Hei?
The fish slices (replaced by abalones) represent abundance for the upcoming year. Pomelo shreds and shredded carrots symbolize good luck and prosperity, while golden ground peanuts, deep-fried flour crisps, and a dash of oil are linked to wealth and profits. Shredded green radish embodies the concept of youthful beauty, honey drizzle signifies sweetness and bliss, and a touch of lime along with a sprinkle of five-spiced powder symbolizes blessings for everyone presents at the Loi Hei.
Year of Dragon (2024)
In the Chinese folklore, dragon is majestic and symbolizes the abundance of energy, bravery and is auspicious. It also signifies growth and leads the wave in transformation and leading to success.
For colleagues in Singapore, we look forward to riding on the energy of the dragon and with our passion in the work we enjoy, we will scale a greater height in 2024 Together!
