Here are some little known, very interesting facts about Texas: 1. Texas is the only state to enter the US by TREATY, (known as the Constitution of 1845 by the Republic of Texas to enter the Union ) instead of by annexation. This allows the Texas Flag to fly at the same height as the US Flag, and Texas may choose to divide into 5 states. 5. A Live Oak tree near Fulton is estimated to be 1500 years old. 6. Caddo Lake is the only natural lake in the state. 7. Dr Pepper was invented in Waco in 1885. There is no period in Dr Pepper. 8. An interesting bit of trivia about the armadillo is they always have four babies. They have one egg, which splits into four, and they either have four males or four females. 13. The first domed stadium in the US was the Astrodome in Houston. 14. The Beck family ranch land grant is one days ride by horse (25 miles) in each direction from the headquarters. 15. Love it 🌹 🌻 When living in dwellings with small or no yards, gardening can almost seem impossible. However, gardening in tight spaces can be a rewarding and creative way to bring greenery and beauty to small areas such as balconies, patios, or even indoor spaces. 😊 When working with limited space, consider vertical gardening techniques such as using hanging planters, wall-mounted planters, or trellises to maximize space and create a lush garden environment. Choose compact plants such as herbs, succulents, or dwarf varieties of vegetables and flowers that can thrive in small containers or raised beds. Utilize creative solutions like tiered plant stands, window boxes, or vertical shelving to make the most of your space. Additionally, ensure proper sunlight, water, and soil conditions for your plants to thrive in a confined area. With careful planning and creativity, gardening in tight spaces can be a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.
What's going to be blooming in your garden this spring? Joy Russell, MBA Realtor Consultant Keller Williams Realty Red Stick Partners 8686 Bluebonnet Blvd. Baton Rouge, La 70810 225.603.3559 (Mobile) 225.768.1800(Office) Licensed in Louisiana
