Hey - all you #playercoach leaders Balancing the need to be an SDR vs. need to manage can be tough, I've been doing it for a few years now I think the most important thing I've learned when it comes to juggling both roles, is time management For me that means, my mornings are dedicated to my SDR-self, and my afternoons are all management. That's been working pretty well for me for a while now, however lately with more projects on the management side it's been more like, one week is super SDR focused and the next week is super management focused How do you player-coaches balance both roles? PS: I find the more I dedicate to prospecting, the better coach I am for my team - don't let that slide!!

I am seeing a ton of noise about A.I. replacing SDR or BDR orgs lately … but wait it got me even more fired up when I noted several posts in the last two weeks saying that the role of a leader of SDR orgs is obsolete… 🤯 So I want to do two things here. Firstly, disrupt the noise on this utter nonsense. Secondly, let’s shout out some great top of funnel leaders who are doing great things in your company too! 🙌 So come with me and let’s remember why a BDR or SDR Leader is a game-changer for any organization! 💼 1️⃣ Facilitating Communication: As a liaison between frontline teams and senior leaders,across many functions of an organisation they ensure everyone's on the same page, driving alignment and clarity. 2️⃣ Insightful Perspective: By sharing frontline experiences, they offer valuable insights to shape strategic decisions and keep the company ahead of the curve. They have the data and really hear what your prospects and customers are saying out there. 3️⃣ Problem Solvers: They identify operational bottlenecks and propose innovative solutions, boosting productivity and efficiency across the board and multiple teams within your company. 4️⃣ Continuous Development: Investing in the growth of BDRs/SDRs leads to a high-performing team, driving results and pushing the company forward. If done right you will build top preformers and future leaders in so many areas of your business (not just the sales org). 5️⃣ Feedback Loop: Establishing feedback mechanisms fosters a culture of open communication and continuous improvement, ensuring the organization stays agile and responsive, while senior leaders gain more insight to their front line teams.
