SaaS Applications Integration More and more, the eCommerce space is becoming one of integrated SaaS solutions. For that reason, the following article is especially poignant (i.e., do not believe who claims SaaS integrations are easy): https://lnkd.in/d7Ms83T8 These are my key takeaways: - need for consistent data formats across SaaS solutions; - the "swivel chair" (i.e., re-keying information across different systems) approach is inefficient; - fortunately, many vendors focus on smaller shares of the market and provide pre-packaged integrations with larger enterprise solutions; - some tools leverage event engines and streaming to support looser connections than APIs; - ETL(i.e., batch processing) still has its role even in an API world; - generally speaking, rely only on one integration method, if possible.

What is the future of #SaaS integrations? 🔮 In 2018, a new category of technology emerged and changed the way people integrate. iPaaS, represented by integration pioneers such as Zapier and Make has been revolutionized by embedded iPaaS providers who understood the limitations of traditional iPaaS, particularly for SaaS vendors. The “use Zapier to integrate our tool with others" approach no longer works for many reasons. ❌ Even embedded iPaaS has its limitations, though. While this approach saves time and resources for SaaS vendors, it offers end users a pre-built integration template with little or no customization options. The future of SaaS integrations and automation lies in what we call 'Embedded No-Code Automation', giving SaaS end users maximum flexibility in integrating various solutions and automating their work. Today, we're taking a deeper dive into the fascinating world of our Paystack-Zoho CRM pipeline project. Remember today's mission: automating the transfer of customer data from those sweet, sweet Paystack transactions straight into Zoho CRM? Think of it as building a digital bridge for smoother customer journeys, eliminating manual data entry and freeing up your time for more strategic tasks. Here's a breakdown of how this magic unfolds: The Key Players: Paystack Webhook: This acts as our trusty messenger, sending real-time notifications whenever a payment whooshes through Paystack. It's like a notification bell ringing, letting us know a new customer has arrived! Flask Application: This is our hero, a Python-powered web application that listens intently for those webhook messages. Once it hears one, it springs into action, extracting all the relevant customer information from the message like a detective gathering clues. Zoho CRM API: This is the entrance to our destination, Zoho CRM. Using the extracted customer data, our Flask application makes a polite API call, knocking on the door and requesting to create a brand new lead record. Automating the Adventure: We're not just building something cool, we're making it efficient! That's why we'll be using GitHub Actions to automate the entire development and deployment process. Think of it as having a trusty robot sidekick. This workflow can be programmed to: Build a shiny Docker image containing our awesome Flask application. Upload this image to a secure container registry, like a digital vault for our code. Deploy the container (which holds our application) to a cloud platform, like deploying troops to a new battlefield (AWS, GCP, or Azure, it's your choice!). Beyond the Basics: This is just the tip of the iceberg, adventurers!
