The enthusiasm related to generative #AI knows no boundaries as industry races to implement the revolutionary technology not only in their products, but also in their processes. While there is no question that gen AI will have a major impact on the way live and work, companies acknowledge that it will only reach its full potential if it is done right. And that’s precisely why experts and leaders need to carefully consider how to use it best: this is where the hard work lies, and it isn’t something that can or should happen overnight. In a keynote speech and panel discussion at Bosch Mobility #AIDays, I took stock of where we currently stand in terms of rolling out gen AI and focused on the potential it offers for product development. As a leading tech company, Bosch adopted AI early on, and we continue to evolve with the technology. To name just one example: in our efforts to develop advanced driver assistance systems (#ADAS), we are training foundation models on the basis of massive datasets with the aim of ensuring the safety of automated driving features. By combining our unparalleled systems expertise and deep knowledge the vehicle with the potential of AI, we are shaping a new era of mobility that is safe, sustainable, and exciting. Many thanks to my colleagues Stephan Brand and Volker Schilling for the interesting conversation and valuable insights!
