ICYMI: Boston Red Sox trailblazer Elaine Weddington Steward was inducted into the Red Sox Hall of Fame yesterday on May 29th! We had the privilege of presenting Elaine with our 2023 Good Apple Award last year in honor of her dedication to public service and social justice, and she continues to be an extraordinary leader in the Boston legal community. We congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition!

How would you know if you've achieved success? Look at it like we're in the NFL. If you were to play football, the first goal that someone has is what we call a Hall of Fame goal. This is the big goal. This is legacy. So what is your Hall of Fame goal? "I want to learn how to make money." "I want my business to grow." "I want to be an expert in my field." Remember, those are just means to an end. Think about this. If you were at your funeral and someone's on stage reading your obituary, what would they say about you? This is what your Hall of Fame goal is. What is that thing? Where are you trying to get to? Understand the direction of where you're trying to go. That's when you'll know you're moving towards your goal and achieving success.

It's been almost a year since we were given the quiet nod that we had been successful in our application for the King's Award. At the time is was all very exciting, but we did wonder, in reality, what it would do for us - in a tangible way. And now, almost a year later we know. Increased sales, accelerated growth in international markets, new partnerships around the world. The King’s Award undoubtedly shone a light on our business. But we know awards are thrown about a lot these days - do you think awards still add genuine value to your business, or are there just too many kicking about? #kingsaward #businessawards

💥I can’t express the benefit I have gained from attending the Purple Story (The Home of Operational Excellence) programmes. 🔥Most of my senior management team have also attended some form of training from Purple Story and they all took away simple but effective leadership tools such as ETC, Iceberg model, Engagement ladder, how to better lead the new Generations coming through, what the Pyramid of Trust is and means, explains the benefits of the Window Screen model. 💜All of these leadership techniques are invaluable if you want your managers and leaders to grow and develop into the leaders to come! ⭐️Investing in my team has been the best investment I have made, which in turns improves the performance on my Holiday Park. 💜Most importantly this training helps to retain the best team members as they can see I am investing in them.

Soliciting for votes to win professional awards defeats the essence of recognition. It's understandable for Big Brother Naija housemates to do so for obvious reasons. We must entrench a culture where awards are given purely on merit and to those who have made genuine sacrifices. Success is not dependent on the number of awards hanging on your walls. Let's prioritize merit and genuine contributions. #awards #recognitions #selfworth #professionalism #lawyersoflinkedin #success #integrity

Sponsorship isn't always about the "big" moments like putting somebody forward for a promotion or giving them the lead on a new project. Sometimes it's the everyday 'sponsorship-in-action' moments that make a huge difference. Here's a story that illustrates the incredible power of those moments: Alisha Austin, an employee at a Wall Street firm, had just won a big promotion and was taking her seat at a managing directors meeting when the meeting chairman barked at her, “Alisha, I need you to take the minutes.” Alisha’s sponsor, John O’Connor, responded instantly: “Let’s get someone in here to take the minutes because Alisha’s not doing it. She’s going to be contributing to this meeting.” “I was so appreciative of John’s action that day,” Alisha told us. “The fact that he jumped right in was huge. He’s a big part of the reason why I’ve stuck with this firm.” . . . #WomenInLeadership #SponsorshipOverMentorship #Mentorship #ProfessionalDevelopment #LeadershipDevelopment #WomenInConstruction

Product Designer committed to breaking down the silos between design, engineering, and product | Equal parts Ted Lasso and Mike Rowe
He’s a Cubs fan… In the world of rivalries, the crosstown teams of the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Cubs have a legacy of producing some passionate fans. Even when the Cubs went to the World Series, a devout White Sox fan could not muster up the strength to cheer the Cubs on to victory — even though they’re both Windy City citizens. So imagine the divine humor that took place when I met Brad Imburgia in 2017 and became fast friends. Very few people know me as well as this guy. We’ve worked together, we’ve made a few late-night Taco Bell runs, we’ve shared more than a few laughs, and our families get along as well as we do. Not only is he an incredible friend who offered to meet me on his day off, but he helped me to unravel the mess of my message (think backlashed fishing reel kind of mess). He helped me see my curiosities and seemingly disparate interests as assets and not liabilities. I left our two-hour conversation feeling like I knew who I was and the trajectory I was on. The man’s a genius when it comes to cutting through words, thoughts, and left-field ideas to bring a simple statement of clarity. If you need help with bringing a focused direction to your business and how it’s portrayed to the market in an authentic way — Brad’s your guy. Seriously. He gets people. He cares about people’s stories. He’s got an uncanny ability to help make great things from listening to what you have to say. And he’s a close friend of mine…even if he is a Cubs fan. #CubsFan #EmberBrandCo #Branding #BrandIdentity #BrandLeadership

Working with professional beauty industry manufacturers and distributors to manage Education and Loyalty programs.
I was thinking of this quote by Vidal Sassoon this morning. It's a great reminder to celebrate Small Wins, Amplify Success: Don't wait for the big milestones to celebrate. Acknowledge and appreciate the small wins along the way. It's the accumulation of these victories that propels us towards larger success. #SuccessJourney #WorkplaceInspiration #PassionAndPerseverance #professionalgrowth #professionalbeauty #educationmanagement #createsuccesstogether #savetime #savemoney
