Arnie is the reason I am where I am today. No, I don't know him personally but one of the most impactful quotes I've ever read was from Total Recall, his autobiography. (If you haven't already, I suggest you read it) "We have the power to make things better for ourselves and the world if we are willing to do the reps." Do the reps. I interpret this as his view on consistency. You can become successful, or achieve success in anything that you are doing by simply just 'doing the reps'. Having a bad month for sales? Doesn't matter. Make the calls, send the emails, do the reps. Having a brilliant month for new leads? Doesn't matter. Prevent the streak from ending, do the reps. Meta ads are underperforming? Doesn't matter. Keep testing, do the reps. Showing up every day, being consistent and doing the reps is far more impactful than any talent or great idea. As I take a break for a well-deserved cuppa, it's time to reflect on the last couple of months and the exciting things about to happen. There have been some really inspiring and well – absolute legends – who have helped and inspired me recently, and giving me the confidence to create and launch The Maverick Revolution next week, and something so much bigger later on in November! Keep your eyes peeled everyone! Being a sole practitioner can often feel isolating. The journey is filled with numerous challenges, making it crucial to discover a supportive community that can help us navigate each day. This is the driving force behind my creation of The Maverick Revolution. I am creating a positive community! The term "maverick" typically refers to an individual who is independent, unconventional, or nonconformist in their thinking or actions. Mavericks often go against established norms, practices, or expectations. They are known for their willingness to take unique or unorthodox approaches and not conform to the conventional way of doing things. The term can also be used to describe someone who is a rebel or a free thinker. The concept of a maverick is often associated with qualities such as individualism, nonconformity, and independence. In the famous viral words of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson: One day or day one. For the last three years, I've had the privilege of learning from the finest mentors. Michael laid the groundwork for my sales career. Erendiz sharpened my online presence. Carl brought shades of gray into my daily decisions, and El Presidente, Frederik (btw, it's his birthday today, forever 21!), transferred essential skills for interacting with potential clients. And of course, my wife's patience throughout this journey has been invaluable. My heartfelt thanks to all! As a former operations manager, I've always wanted to learn, share my knowledge, and find a place to openly express myself after a tough day, confident that others won't judge but will truly understand my perspective. This is especially important in 2024 when we'll need each other's support more than ever. Yesterday marked my 'day one'. I initiated a LinkedIn group named TableTop Titans, (T^3 – yes, I embrace my nerdy side, what did you expect? 🤷🏼♂️).
