It was really special to have so many News Revenue Hub team members and client newsrooms together in San Diego for INN Days and to bid farewell to co-founder Tristan Loper. Thank you to everyone who came to the Hub party and for all the inspiring conversations. We came away with new partners and lots ideas for new projects to support the industry.
Great job Karen Rundlet, Courtney Lewis, Meta Stange, and the entire Institute for Nonprofit News team for putting together such a meaningful gathering in my hometown!
I was remiss in not shouting out Jonathan Kealing for his work on #INNDays and kicking off our session on election readiness. Thanks for always being a great partner and connector, Jonathan!

Had an incredible few days at CREtech, full of panel discussions, seeing new and old faces, and of course not forgetting the beautiful sunshine!
Key takeaways -
> Conversations centered around the role of AI in our industry, emphasising the importance of both investment and human adoption.
> Tech is powerful, but tech is only as good as the people using and embracing that technology.
> What do occupiers want panel - which consistently revolves around flexibility and a sense of pride in their workspace. The digital landscape is ever-evolving to meet these demands and enhance experiences.

⚙ #BuildingCaribbeanFuture Together
🙏 Over the past few weeks, I've had the privilege of connecting with 100 individuals from across the globe, discussing our vision for Caribbean and West-African futures with EOG Venture Studio. A staggering 80% were new connections, and they generously shared their time, insights, and passion based on just a brief introduction on LinkedIn. (Thanks again to all of you!)
🌎 From Americas to Asia, from the tech giants of GAFAM to grassroots initiatives in agriculture, from VC to development banks, from startups studios to governments agencies, the diversity of perspectives has been both enlightening and invaluable. These conversations spanned over 30 countries and a myriad of sectors, truly showcasing the global interest in the Caribbean's potential.
🎯 Now, I'm setting an ambitious goal: 300 more meetings before the year ends. While I'm fortunate to have a vast LinkedIn network, I'm eager to engage with new voices, unfiltered by my own experiences or regional renown. If you, or someone you know, is a C-level executive or founder of a major company/organization and you can use some of your precious time to provide feedback on EOG's strategy to shape Caribbean and West-African futures, I'd love to connect for a 15-30 minute chat.
🚀 For those already in my circle curious about EOG's endeavors, drop me a DM, and I'll share more. And to everyone, stay tuned for some exciting updates in the coming months!
🤝 Let's co-create a brighter future. #ForUsByUs
PS: Kindly share this post or tag someone who can introduce me to the right individuals. Your support in amplifying this message is deeply appreciated.
🌍 How important are Local Communities on a Global Journey? 🤔
In short: very❗
Our story began with just three passionate individuals in a small German town. Today, we're humbled to see vivenu grow into a global company with 3 offices in Germany and 2 in the US. 🌐
This incredible journey has been a rollercoaster of change and learning, and I, as a Co-Founder, am deeply grateful for the privilege of being a part of it. 🙏
One thing that will always remain constant is our unwavering ambition to have a positive impact on local communities, no matter where our path leads us. 🌱
We firmly believe that success is not just about hard work, but also about the wonderful people who have supported us along the way. It's a simple truth: without them, achieving anything of significant scale is impossible. 🤝
Our experiences in the Tampa Bay Area, working with people from diverse backgrounds, have been truly phenomenal. We're profoundly thankful for the warm welcome and support we've received from this wonderful community. 🌴
As vivenu continues to grow rapidly, we're currently in search of a larger space in Tampa. If you're in the area, please reach out. We'd be honored to meet and share a meal together. 🍽️
Are you a local in Tampa? Have we had the chance to connect yet?

Hugs in Business 🤗
I noticed much hugging last night at the Home Grown Club event, a side event to London Tech Week, moderated by TechCrunch.
Highlights were promising:
💡M&A is looking better than the past 18 months.
💰 Plenty of money to be deployed
But some uncertainties appear more politically driven:
❌ HNW individuals with interests in the UK and the US have moved away from the UK.
🕵Hiring talent post-Brexit is challenging vs. Paris’s AI hub (Mistral/Facebook).
The club's mood was that of people who knew each other well, hence the hugs.
Two hours well invested, where I had decent discussions with:
Isaac Twidale 🕺 who runs a marketing agency focused on high-end hospitality.
Callum Coombes Uni → Software Developer → Funded CEO with a product that fits the toothbrush model 🪥
Asha Easton waving the Innovate UK and imemrsive tech flag
Cynthia C. and colleague Ash manage multiple family office investments globally.
My networking metric is ‘2 high-quality, longer conversations’. I got six, demonstrating the quality and value of this specific network.
So, I might be there for future hugs, too, as there was a Full House at Home. 🏠
Hey there LinkedIn fam! I wanted to take a moment today to give a special shoutout and show some major gratitude! A big thanks goes out to our amazing Techstars Atlanta Powered by Cox Enterprises cohort mates, Malobi Achike, Esq. and Flo Nicolas, Esq for highlighting our product and the incredible work they're doing over at their startup, DEI Directive (Techstars '23) At Sojorne, we believe that improving work environments is about so much more than just boosting productivity - it's also about making a positive impact on families dealing with special needs, disabilities, and chronic health conditions- which affects more than half of the US population, with growing numbers globally. And let me tell you, when companies step up in this area, everybody wins! 👨👩👧👦💙 Their mission hits close to home for us because we know firsthand the challenges faced by parents who need flexibility or understanding in their workplace. So here’s an applause-worthy round of appreciation to these mighty founders! Cheers, Your friends at Sojorne! #DEI#Impact#Founders#DisabilityAwareness
Humblebragging in LinkedIn Simp™ format:
Some 15ish years ago, I worked for a company in NYC on ad campaigns for big ol' brands with histories and budgets to match, rolling creative out across billboards in Times Square and elsewhere to sell people on the idea that they need X in order to YZ. (Jeans, mostly.)
It felt like a big deal then, and I suppose it kinda was for a feral 20-something with a degree in doodling to be visually influencing the purchasing decisions of the masses (creepy, too).
In truth, I was helping companies sell more stuff, and that's really it.
In 2010, I shifted my focus to advancing health and human services initiatives because, believe it or not, I generally like people and want them to have an okay time on this planet – and besides, most of them are already wearing jeans.
Fast-forward through a couple of cities and a handful of careerish things to 2024. I'm shivering with a coffee and a friend/nerd/colleague watching The Playbook logo in lights in Times Square, the crossroads of the world, right over those red bleachers where people – even the ones I generally like – voluntarily sit through advertisements on purpose/as a vacation. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Seeing our work on a billboard was different this time. First, I was one of those people voluntarily sitting through advertisements as a vacation, and second, this was genuinely a big deal.
T.M. Robinson-"Mosley", Ph.D., Shae Robinson-Mosley, M.Ed., MMSc, PA-C, ATC, Rosalinda Gallegos, and I built this little brand from scratch to address the growing need for mental health support in the digital space. The Playbook may be a bitsy baby compared to the brand behemoths in Times Square, but this baby is supported by helpful and hopeful people who believe in what we're building and what it will do for folks in high-performance industries and beyond. (Thanks, y'all.)
For me, helping people (even the ones who travel to an actual place to sit through advertisements voluntarily) remove barriers to mental health hits wayyy harder than selling them jeans. Not to mention turning Dr. Mosley's brain into an app that fits in people's jeans to help their brains? – wild as hell.
Consider The Playbook 2024's hottest accessory. Look for us this summer in somebody's jeans.
Happy Mental Health Awareness Month from The Playbook nerds. :)

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT - We're starting Mental Health Awareness Month with a bang! 🎉
There's nothing quite like seeing your creation shining in the lights of Times Square. We've made it to New York City, y'all! As a Black-owned, women-led sports tech company, this achievement was no easy feat. Black women founders receive only 0.34% (that's not a typo) of total venture capital in the United States, making it nearly impossible to build and scale successful tech companies. Although we’re an established, profitable company, we’ve struggled to raise capital. Despite the long odds, we kept going.
I'm immensely proud and grateful for the incredible work of our team of All Stars. None of this would be possible without the remarkable women beside me. Shae Robinson-Mosley, M.Ed., MMSc, PA-C, ATCRosalinda GallegosBrina Jolin
Today, I share this milestone with them and with countless other women and underestimated founders who face barriers to access and opportunity. I see you, and I celebrate you. Keep. Going.
And now, with this announcement, we're officially on the clock! The Playbook, our award-winning mental health performance platform for sports organizations launches in Summer 2024! Stay tuned! 🚀🚀🚀
Special thanks to Brex for giving us the opportunity to shine as part of their ad campaign! 🌟✨😎

Any early-stage founders w/ kiddos want to start a group together? Or do you know any?
Being an early-stage founder can be a wild ride. And for me, with two kids on top of that, it often feels like insane mode. Personally, I don’t know many other people in the same boat, but really wish that I did.
I’m putting together a small group of founder+parents open to meeting regularly to connect and share how things are really going. I'd like it to skew personal and let it bleed into work, relationships, everything/anything that matters. I've already got a few folks interested and looking to grow the group a little.
Disclaimer: I am a co-founder of Pace, so thinking to use our video sessions, but also think it'd be the coolest place for this.
Two asks:
1. If you’re interested, please get in touch here: https://lnkd.in/g682wcuY
2. If you think you know someone that's a good fit, can you re-post, share the link, whatever you think makes sense? Thanks!
