Mary Kate Andris, Ed.D.’s Post

A little known fact (in my spare time, ha ha) - I serve as a member of the Virginia Council on Women, an Advisory Council that advises the Governor of Virginia on matters pertaining to women and ways to improve their educational, professional, cultural and governmental status within the Commonwealth. Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a Scholarship presentation at the Virginia Executive Mansion, where we presented ten $5,000 STEAM-H Scholarships to deserving young women in the Commonwealth who plan to pursue careers in STEAM-H fields. I am so proud to be a part of this amazing Council and serve with some very impressive women!
