Camden is a vibrant, multicultural borough, with 45.4% of Camden residents born outside the UK, contributing to its rich diversity, albeit with significant socio-economic challenges:
- At 41%, Camden has the second-highest poverty rate in London.
- Camden faces the worst housing affordability in the capital.
- London’s Black and Asian communities have been disproportionately affected by the cost-of-living crisis.
- Over 2 in 5 Bangladeshis and nearly 1 in 3 Black Londoners live in overcrowded housing conditions in Camden, which is considerably higher than the UK average.
- There has been a 39% rise in hate crimes all over London in 2023 compared to 2022.
Our incredible community researchers are examining the impact of structural racism on housing, education, employment, and safety across the borough.
Findings from our research will inform policy recommendations aimed at key development areas, such as enhancing community infrastructure, improving educational quality with better cultural training and diverse curriculum design, and fostering pathways to employment through collaboration with local businesses.
Join us in working to address and dismantle racial inequalities in Camden, and creating more just and inclusive communities for all!
Participatory grantmaking and cross-sector social change
It’s a political bus, but not as you know it.
Camden Giving and our friends are heading to Birmingham to meet brap to prepare for a Community Assembly on Strucutal Racim in this September.
Community members will be making reccomendations to local political leaders charities, police and businesses.

Maria Guzman, Thank you and the Windsor Communities team for helping those in need. Your work not only helps people in need, but is a fantastic way to develop leadership in your group. How so?
The best leadership is all about high-trust relationships. One of the most powerful ways to build trust is to genuinely love your people. When they know you love them, the result is deeper engagement, commitment, and productivity.
When you/Windsor do community service, you literally practice love for others. Every time you practice love, you become a more loving person, leader, and parent--building higher trust, higher performance leaders and teams--at work and home--in the process.
It was an honor being able to attend Windsor Communities annual GIVE event this past Friday. This year the Orange County teams helped give back to our community through volunteering for the non-profit organization Giving Children Hope which helps children and families break out of the cycle of need into success and
self-sustainability. We had the honor of distributing food to approximately 200 local families. Working for a company that emphasizes community outreach is truly a pleasure.
Many churches, non-profits, and other organizations aren't occupied 24/7. What happens if there’s a water leak during those times? 💧
Early detection can be the difference between a minor inconvenience and a major loss. ⚠️ Read this Church Executive Magazine interview with PHLY’s Peter Kim, ARM for real-life success stories of how PHLYSense has protected organizations from costly damage: https://bit.ly/3VwOJZJ
When we invest in children, we all win💚
That was the message, loud and clear, from the UK’s five largest children’s charities at last month’s political party conferences.
Together as a coalition, we hosted panels, briefings and events to ensure that our political leaders prioritise the needs of babies, children and young people.
We’re calling for change - so children growing up in the UK are happier, safer and they each have the chance to reach their potential.

I don't pretend to be an expert on this, but this is one of the many reasons I love working at Feather Down Farms. As a society, we're witnessing the rise of screen addiction among our children, I know we are as a family.
Recent studies have shown that prolonged exposure to screens can lead to issues like sleep disturbances, obesity, poor academic performance, and even developmental delays. 😔
Here are a few steps I have started to try and implement in our house:
📺 Set Screen Time Limits: Establish clear guidelines for screen time and stick to them. We encourage outdoor activities, reading, and imaginative play as alternatives.
🤳 Lead by Example: My children often mimic my behaviour so I am conscious of my screen time and leave my phone in other rooms of the house to remove the temptation for me to scroll or respond to messages
💻 Create Tech-Free Zones: Designated areas in our home where screens are not allowed, such as our dining table or the kids' bedrooms, to promote quality family time.
🏕️ Enjoy a Feather Down weekend often

In today's fast-paced digital age, it's easy for children to become glued to screens, losing touch with the wonders of the natural world. Yet, amidst the hustle and bustle of modern life, there lies a treasure trove of benefits awaiting our children - the great outdoors. 🌱
Whether you live in a busy city or quiet suburbia, the benefits of enjoying the great outdoors span beyond just fresh air and sunshine. ☀️
In our partnership blog with Go Beyond charity, we unveil the multitude of benefits for children when they head into the great outdoors.

In 2024, the KFC Foundation will award $10,000 to up to 100 nonprofits "to make their Kentucky Fried Wishes come true."
From the Foundation's website:
> "We’re looking for tangible, actionable projects that are feasible to accomplish with the $10,000 grant and will make an immediate impact in your community."
> If you have a larger project (i.e., 100-mile trail restoration), break it down into something that $10,000 could cover in full (i.e., 10-mile trail restoration out of our 100-mile project). If additional funding is needed, detailed plans for securing additional resources must be provided in the Project Budget.
Ahead of an upcoming general election, the UK’s five largest children’s charities (Action for Children, Barnardo’s, The Children’s Society, the National Children’s Bureau and NSPCC) have come together, supported by iHV and more than 150 organisations, to make sure the next government has a plan to put Children at the Table.
Together, we’re asking the next Government to:
• Work together to improve the lives of babies, children and young people
• Put children’s needs and voices at the heart of decision making
• Spend more of the nation’s wealth on babies, children and young people
Act today and join almost 25,000 others in signing the petition calling on the next Government to make good childhoods a national priority: https://buff.ly/3vOmAVq#ChildrenAtTheTable
