We provide holistic, trauma-informed support, helping survivors of modern slavery recover from complex trauma, regain confidence and prepare to re-enter the workforce.
Our program is structured into four pillars:
1. Onboard Pillar: We establish trust and safety, identifying their needs and future goals. This includes a safety plan, wellness assessment, and a Success Plan, laying the foundation for their future.
2. Rebuild Pillar: Focuses on building confidence and life skills necessary for social integration. This includes peer support groups, educational outings, & personal skills courses eg English, health, and local community knowledge. These activities are pivotal in preparing survivors for the workplace.
3. Thrive Pillar: we prepare survivors for employment through bespoke, trauma-informed training covering study skills, communication, ICT, office skills etc. This equips them with the competencies required for sustainable long term employment.
4. Success Pillar: This is our partnered employment placement. We screen, train and work with employers who already have human rights as part of their company culture and values. This pillar includes ongoing support from our trauma-informed coaches and additional training for employers to ensure a supportive work environment.
Support from individuals, businesses and volunteers is vital to this work as The Freedom Hub is not a government service.
