Sharing the difference: An introduction to impact Thursday 4 July 12:00pm - 2:00pm Venue: Online Aimed at those working or volunteering in small groups looking to find out more about how to measure the difference their work makes. Who is it for? This course is aimed at those working or volunteering in small groups who want to find out more about how to measure the difference their work makes. The course is a basic introduction and there is no need to have had prior experience of planning or evaluation to attend. What is it about? Impact is the difference your organisation makes. Increasingly you need to be able to measure and communicate the impact of your organisation’s work to funders, trustees, clients and your own staff to demonstrate that your organisation is delivering the best possible service. What will I learn? How to identify what funders and other stakeholders want to know and use impact planning to improve what you do. By the end of the session you will: Understand the key terms funders and other stakeholders use around impact. Review planning tools including Theory of Change to help improve your ability to identify and describe the difference your organisation makes Have a better understanding of what you need to monitor and evaluate to evidence change. Own your back yard! As a flooring expert, it's essential to become the go-to person in your local community. To achieve this, get involved with local events, parades, networking, sponsorships, and volunteering! Be where your clients are! Additionally, don't forget to join and participate in your local Facebook groups. (Moms groups, local handy-man groups, etc). TIP: Offering free advice and "edu-tainment" can go a long way in establishing your reputation and expanding your reach. ***Remember, there is no SILVER BULLET or MAGIC PILL! It's time to get back to basics and make your community your priority.
