Honored to be named a recipient of this year’s Arne M. Sorenson Excellence in Leadership Award alongside Barbara Humpton, CEO of Siemens USA, and Sheila Johnson, founder and CEO of Salamander Collection, by the The Economic Club of Washington, D.C. of Washington DC.   Arne Sorenson, the late president and CEO of Marriott International, helped set the bar for inspirational leadership and community engagement. It is a standard that my Accenture and Accenture Federal Services colleagues and I try to live up to every day. It is what pushes us and strengthens our commitment to positive change and innovation with our clients and in the communities where we work and live.   Thanks to the Economic Cloud of Washington DC for this honor, which I accept on behalf of all my colleagues at Accenture and Accenture Federal Services. As a historical event, the day commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. But it’s also more symbolic than that. A packed house in Washington, D.C. this week filled with industry and public sector leaders as well as AI pioneers for our latest Gen AI Executive Gathering. We were honored to welcome panelists from Marriott International, the DoD Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office and Anthropic. Their diverse perspectives and expertise added immense value to the discussions. Beyond the chance to interact with the technology in demos and workshops, we heard great insights on how Gen AI is reinventing #CX, accelerating innovation for mission success, and prompting organizations to deepen trust by prioritizing responsible design and deployment of the technology. Energized and inspired by yesterday’s Gen AI event at Accenture’s Houston office. In addition to interactive workshops and demos that helped illuminate Gen AI's tangible impact, we brought together a variety of speakers for insightful panels around the technology’s potential to reshape industries and redefine the way we work and live. But perhaps the event's greatest power may be the relationship-building and cross-pollination of Gen AI perspectives it fostered. A big thank you to all the clients and partners who joined us, including NVIDIA, OGE Energy Corp. and Celanese. Your engagement and enthusiasm, both individually and collectively, helped us all envision new possibilities for the technology and played a big role in the event’s success.
