Movember Day 5: "My Heart's a Stereo"
This one is too good not to re-share
Contrary to the title of today's theme, I'm not a fan of Maroon 5. However, music does something to your heart, your soul, your attitude, your emotions, and your well-being. There's something about throwing on your headphones or going to your garage, car, truck, bike and cranking up the music.
Music can comfort you in a time of sadness, get you fired up for that big moment, keep you paced through a workday. Working from home, I throw my earbuds in daily and it keeps my day moving.
The unintended health blessing/benefit in all of this, when THAT song comes on, you know the one that you can't help but sing at the top of your lungs and let the world hear you (whether you can carry a tune or not), yes, THAT song, opening up your lungs and getting your heart rate up is a good thing. It's great for your lungs, great for your heart, great for your mental health, and great for your emotions no matter what your mood is.
No matter what your song is or how good or bad your singing is, let the people around you know, this is YOUR anthem of the day and sing THAT song with ALL of your heart and soul! Let them know you're Johnny Cash, Adele, Taylor Swift, Teddy Pendergrass, Eminem or whoever you choose. SING THAT SONG TODAY!
