Whilst the Government's AI Safety Summit focuses on existential risks, we're at the ScottishPower 2023 Digital Summit talking about how to innovate with the far more prevalent, every day uses of #ai, at the same time as avoiding negative impacts on people and planet. In all the hype around the #aisafetysummit let's remember that AI Governance research shows 91% of organisations have no controls for their use of AI. With little regulation, standards or guidance to leaders on what they should or shouldn't do with AI, we're relying on people understanding the data they're using, understanding their AI models and the risks they bring and taking good ethical decisions.
