Unsolicited #SEO tip: When you're getting an SEO site audit, generally the larger the site is, the more impact and value technical fixes will hold - and the smaller the site is, content production will usually carry more value. Here is a beautiful graph to demonstrate this. [This post was scheduled as I'm away on holiday at the moment, so it may take me a while to respond!] 🌊
nice use of d3.js to make a point 🤣
Mark Williams-Cook I'll need you to print this on a shirt, please.
Then you end up with a client bang in the cross section and you’re like a deer in the headlights of which to fix first 😂
Great point. Also felt the same. Have seen many obsessing over technical for small sites. Ironically have to blame the top ranking seo tutorials which have been the foundation for many in seo.
I totally agree, but large means REALLY LARGE and complex. I have so many clients who totally overrate the size of their website. 10.000 URLs do not make a large website.
So true! 🙌 How would you tie in offsite in this combo?
an actionable tip! love the raw drawing haha
Word! Love the graphic btw! 😆
You can definitely have 💩 at scale though...

1wI hear many B2B companies saying: “we have a lot of technical SEO problems.” When in reality, all they’re facing are a bunch of 404 pages and some broken links on their site. There are literally websites with less than 20 pages paying thousands of bucks for deep technical audits. About 90% of these cases involve the agencies selling some sort of a snake oil to justify the importance of their effort. Doesn’t make any sense.
