JQuery took something difficult and made it easier. Subsequent frameworks take easy things and attempt to make them easier. That's why none of them are as successful as jQuery. Why doesn't anyone take device drivers and make a framework to make those easier?

#webdevelopment You can easily track how much time an operation takes by using the 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗲.𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 method. Just call the 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗲.𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 method at the start of the code block you want to track with a meaningful label and the time tracking will start. When you call 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗲.𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗘𝗻𝗱() with the same label, the browser will output the time, in milliseconds, that elapsed since the timer was started. #javascript

jQuery is coming back?? It looks they are preparing new release for jQuery 4.0!! Reading the changelog https://lnkd.in/dmkkwT-F (github .com/jquery) I see: * Drop compatibilitty with old browsers: I.E. (< v11), iOS (< v11), Firefox (< v65) and first versions of MS Edge (the non-Chromium version) * Migrated from AMD to EcmaScript modules (AMD is an antique way to load modules and dependencies) I am not a frontend guy so I don't know if there is any new feature that improves frontend development for the current jQuery users only, or they are trying to bring back many the people who dropped it. #jquery #frontend
