Honored and humbled at the Annual National Philanthropy Day - Association of Fundraising Professional luncheon this past Wednesday, November 15th. Deep appreciation and thanks to the Association of Fund Raising Professionals, the nominating committee, and Alex Comfort and Amanda Edwards, CFRE for this honor. I was deeply moved by receiving the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser award. I was in extraordinary company with fellow honorees, Jeff Miller, Cassie Dillon, Keynon Lake, Drs. Tom and Joanne Parker, Mark Weinstein, Mike Figura and Charlotte Lunsford Berry. Being in the presence of 350 attendees whose focus and goal is to build community, helping others and moving important life-changing issues forward is pretty awe-inspiring. The messaging from my fellow honorees was strong, meaningful and a true call to action.
