Epilepsy Advocate | Founder | ECD | Board Member | Brand Strategist

I am beyond proud to announce that last week, Otherside led the launch of a new brand and campaign for what is, I believe, the single most important initiative in the world of epilepsy. The National Plan for the Epilepsies. If you don’t know about The National Plan for the Epilepsies, you should. Once passed, it should mean the largest federal investment EVER in the epilepsies. Aligning with the goals of IGAP (the Intersectoral Global Action Plan on Epilepsy and Other Neurological Disorder), the National Plan will aim to: - Raise epilepsy policy prioritization and strengthen governance - Provide effective, timely and responsive epilepsy diagnosis, treatment, care -  Implement epilepsy strategies for promotion and prevention - Foster epilepsy research and innovation and strengthen information systems - Strengthen the public health approach to epilepsy A National Plan for the Epilepsies will give us all – from advocates and caregivers to researchers and clinicians - a clear, direct, shared path toward a better future for people living with epilepsy. You can learn more about it here: https://lnkd.in/egAJ6URd And, as always, Otherside here: https://lnkd.in/eUkuxd7U #epilepsy, #epilepsyawareness, #epilepsyadvocacy, #epilepsyresearch, #epilepsycommunications, #epilepsynationalplan
