In business, building strong relationships is key. While your focus is on creating a positive bond with your clients, a credit controller does the same with your debtors. Both connections are crucial and need to be strong, positive, and professional. Even though the relationships with clients and debtors differ in focus and goals, they are equally important. Investing in credit control is investing in the overall health and success of your business relationships. Hiring a dedicated credit controller or credit control team, whether internally or externally, can actually boost these business relationships. Yes, you read that right – it can BOOST them! Hiring Credit Managers? If you're a smaller company, maybe you're the owner or CFO, and you do all of your credit management yourself. If you're a growing company, maybe you are now looking to hire a head of accounts receivable or expand your credit management department. Regardless of where your business is at, you need a scalable solution to support your team and their trade credit decisions. #creditcontrol appears to be a high priority for a lot of businesses and the demand has risen significantly in the Q2 and Q3. It is not a one size fits all type of role though is it? We often find that, aside from the experience and skillset, emotional intelligence and personal style takes priority. Walking a tight rope balancing persistence and maintaining supplier relations is key. It's not about the role, it's about the person in this business critical role. A wise man said to me once, "credit control is like dribbling a ball downhill, you've got to keep on it because you'll never catch it otherwise". Thoughts?? Speak to Nicola McCallum about your needs and particularly these candidates who are working with Artemis Human Capital.

In #Banking and #finance, its very critical to have a holistic view of both the marketing function and the operations side. The purpose of classifying functions into front office, mid-office and back office is purely for purposes of "Centralisation" of job roles and nothing else. Imagine if a front office dealer said that she does not know how "Settlements" work as that is not her role!! Katharnak Imagine if a mid-office compliance , FRM qualified risk manager said that she does not know how "Trade Life Cycle operates". She will be a total failure at the mid office function. Imagine if a back office, settlements manager said that he does not understand bid-offer quotes!! He will not be able to interpret the Trade Data that the front office provides. Its always good to have a holistic picture of the operations and marketing function at the bank that you are working in! Keep learning Keep Growing Knowledge is POWER
