This might be my most controversial post yet. ...Toast doesn't do Stampede GASP! We've had multiple people tell us that not participating in Stampede is "bad for business". Sir, this is a Wendy's. Business doesn't just happen on the golf course, at the steakhouse, over beers, or dressed up as cowboys. This week April Hicke and I are in Montreal at Startupfest where we will be closing deals at the spa, hosting an intimate dinner for the top tech founders (who happen to be women), and going on #techgirlwalks to catch up with our biggest supporters in the ecosystem ❤️ At Toast we don't expect women to mold themselves to fit into a business world that isn't designed for them. Instead, we are redefining it. If you're in Montreal this week: Bota Bota, spa-sur-l'eau?🥂
Also spa dates with our clients > stampede
If I start a doodle dogs app or something can u take me for walkies
Honestly knowing y'all I would be concerned if I saw you there
Bota bota!! 👀
I want to come on a tech girl walk! 🙋🏻♀️
Clara Petit Try & get a Spa invite! :)
Sir, this is a Wendy's - BOOM! MIc Drop.
I went looking on Calgary Stampede's FB page to look for photos to share with a curious friend East of Quebec. In my search of their photos, it was very hard to find any women beyond the Stampede Queens. There are so many women that volunteer and help the Stampede, involved in agriculture, etc. and the only photos they choose to share are those of Queens. Why are the women not part of the story? It is a very male event in so many ways, it is appropriate for Toast to not be there.
I’d Bota Bota over Stampede any day
