Marine Corps Systems Command’s Post

Today, we witnessed a significant change of command as Brig. Gen. David C. Walsh passed the torch to Brig. Gen. Tamara Campbell, marking a new chapter for Marine Corps Systems Command. Brig. Gen. Campbell returns to Hospital Point, where she previously excelled in two separate assignments, ready to lead with excellence and innovation. Friends, family, fellow Marines, and civilian employees gathered to honor both Walsh and Campbell for their years of dedicated service. Lt. Gen. Matthew G. Glavy highlighted the acquisition victories under Walsh's leadership and the promising future under Campbell’s guidance. “You did it, man. Twenty-five years in naval aviation in the Fleet at NAVAIR,” Glavy speaking to Walsh. “And what do they do? We make you general officer, and we put you in the middle of ground pounder land – right in the middle of the MAGTF. And brother, you have thrived. What you have done to make Force Design a real thing and how you have changed this organization to move as fast as possible really is a testimony to your leadership.” This change of command signifies continuity and advancement for our acquisition community. Under Campbell’s leadership, MARCORSYSCOM will continue to innovate and ensure our Marines are equipped with the most advanced tools for the future fight. #EquippingOurMarines #USMarines #ChangeOfCommand #MCSC #MilitaryLeadership

Worked with Tamara 25 years ago. Even then you could tell she was destined for great things. Nice to see another 72 pick up General. Congrats on picking up MCSC. You are going to do great things.

The Command is now in better hands with BGen Campbell at the helm. This command has waited to long for someone that has the Leadership and experience. My best tour at MCSC was when I had the please to work for General Campbell as her Deputy.
