Another thing to #checkandchallenge Is an Academic Degree in Coaching pointless… FA don’t care about degrees. Academies don’t accept degrees. All only want UEFA B minimum, nothing else matters. So have i just wasted £27,750 on 3 years of studying Football Coaching & Management - probably. But the people I have met on the degree, the UEFA A & PRO Lecturers, all the friends I made, all the coaching opportunities I gained through UCFB, all the learning from top industry experts I’ve had 3x a week for 3 years - that beats a 6 month b license course learning once every 3 months in between blocks, in my opinion. All Of that has made me a much much better coach theoretically and practically on the pitch as it’s deepened my Understanding of so many aspects of the game more than an FA course has ever done for me. Academies and the FA may not think so. Their system is the best, great - That’s why England hasn’t won a World Cup since 1966. Yet the coach education system is so great here? But is it? 💭 Is it ever going to change? Will people challenge the system? Or happily sit back and accept the system.
