Very few if any come close to Jon Lukomnik’s long-term, enduring, and relentless brilliance - yes brilliance. This book is a must read. TBCG was my bounce when I voluntarily left the best job in the world after 12 years (2000-12) as Head of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI). Much to do but amazing examples. John Elkington and Nick Robinson are clearly on the Titan and Titaness list for sure. Both Professor Mervyn King SC and the late and great Professor Paul Watchman, who left us far too early, underpinned critical thinking in governance and the rise of #esg law. A deep nod to all the other Titans and Titanesses who should be named. Jon when’s your next book due? I jest. I remember asking you at the 2016 London launch of your Co-authored book “What they do with your money?” whether things were moving quickly enough. You quipped: “ Give us a chance we’ve only launched today.”

I've used my copy of this important book so much that I may need to get another copy. "Beyond Modern Portfolio Theory" is the best, and hopefully most influential, book I have read since post-graduate work 40 years ago. #corpgov #investing #ESG #systemsinvesting #beta

Here are the key takeaways from my presentation and interview with Jacob Ambrose Willson. UK Pension Market: - The UK holds the second-largest pensions market globally, with assets exceeding £5 trillion. - Corporate Defined Benefit (DB) schemes are on the decline, while Defined Contribution (DC) schemes, Local Government Pension Schemes (LGPS), and wealth management are rapidly growing. - The overall pensions market will grow to approximately £9 trillion by the next decade. Investment Beliefs: - LGPS: Embracing a 3D approach focusing on return, risk, and impact. Key areas include clean energy, economic growth, innovation, sustainable cities, and climate action.
