🤔 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗯𝗼𝘀𝘀? 👏 When we look at the situation once the canopy was opened, I absolutely see it like that. 🌬 Because it's very hard to breath at a certain point. In particular breathing in gets hard (which is done subconsciously under normal circumstances). Inhaling air is the active part of breathing - because of physical principles (pressure difference), you actually have to use your muscles at that speed. 👁 Additionally, of course you have difficulties opening your eyes when there are no goggles to protect them from the wind pressure. Despite this, she was able to land the plane safe in the end. 🧠 Lessons learned: Well, first perform your equipment check more thoroughly. Apparently, the locking pin for the canopy was not fully inserted. I'm not aware if this should actually be detected by control measures in planes like this. Second, I'm pretty sure, she uses some goggles after that incident. This wouldn't help with breathing necessarily of course, but it's still one less thing to worry about. 📽 Credit: YT/Narine Melkumjan

These are things that can happen and did happen, in principle close the canopy I do not think it is in checklist but surely from now on it will be in many of the checks performed by aerobatic and general aviation pilots. Marcus Scholle

Marcus, great analysis! Incredible how breathing changes under pressure. Can you imagine coding under those circumstances? 😁

She did exactly the right thing which is to fly the plane.

I’m pretty sure she has the experience and hours behind the stick to handle this situation.
