You need a hobby. I have asked countless executive s and business leaders if they have a hobby over the last several week and less than 10% can give what I would consider to be an acceptable answer. Make space and time for yourself + bonus points if you can find one that is outside! Fathers Day morning wading in a river fishing as the sun comes up is hard to beat!
Love it. Mine is my vegetable garden.
I agree. Hobbies enable us to put in the work, experience small wins/challenges, meet new friends and develop skills. These small achievements can lead to significant accomplishments.
love it brother- this looks like the true definition of 'happy'
Lack of caught fish is said acceptable hobby picture
So important Marcus Hall. Especially if you are in the stage of kid rearing, it becomes VERY easy to lose balance and any margin that might exist.
I started sewing in earnest last year to give my mind a break from work. It forced me to focus on something that is both artistic and mechanical, and I love it. I’m sewing mostly bags - purses, totes, etc. Dabbling in sewing clothes. Already expert in fabric collecting. 😅
Yeah good point— I’m with you. Hunting, hiking with family, and golf for me.
I play the saxophone. In related news, my family has taken up listening to the saxophone.
This is a common conversation I have with CEOs and entrepreneurs. I would say 95% look at me like I'm crazy to think they do anything other than run a business or businesses. Frankly, it makes us very uninteresting when all we do is work. Our perspective is warped.

3wWant to wipe the smile off your face? Try fly fishing, I am a year into that romance, very humbling. Seriously any time you can spend on the water is fantastic, I've been chasing trout all of my life.
