Firefox Review Firefox has always been a stalwart in the browser community, renowned for its commitment to privacy, open-source ethos, and user-friendly interface. Its privacy features are robust with Enhanced Tracking Protection that blocks trackers by default. The new Facebook Container is an innovative feature that isolates your Facebook session from the rest of your browsing activity, protecting your privacy. Here are three browser extensions to help you stay safe online: HTTPS Everywhere: The HTTPS Everywhere extension is available through a partnership between the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the TOR Project. If you're visiting an unprotected website, HTTPS Everywhere checks to see if it offers a secure connection. The add-on forces the site to use that connection if one is available. *HTTPS Everywhere is available for most browsers, except Safari. Privacy Badger: This is another extension from the EFF. Privacy Badger stops advertisers and third-party trackers from monitoring your tracking where you go on the internet, and if it suspects an advertiser is tracking you without your permission, it blocks that advertiser from loading content in your browser. * Privacy Badger is available for most web browsers, except Safari. uBlock Origin: On the surface, uBlock Origin seems like another ad blocker, but it also blocks third-party trackers and domains known to belong to malware sources based on a community-generated list. * uBlock Origin is available for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Opera and Safari. If you are not using your own computer or phone, always switch to private browsing or incognito mode before logging into any of your online accounts, such as Gmail, Facebook, or other vital websites! Keep in mind that this option will not make you anonymous on the Internet, but it'll help you in many other ways. Brave v1.64 will streamline the browser's industry-leading fingerprinting protections to better protect users' privacy and improve Web compatibility. Today's blog from our privacy team has more details: https://lnkd.in/eKXEYpaC Brave offered two levels of fingerprinting protection: Standard and Strict. We will sunset Strict mode, used by 0.5% of users, due to frequent website compatibility issues. Removing Strict mode also lets us focus on improving default fingerprinting protections for all users. This fingerprinting change will go live on Android and desktop with v1.64 in a couple of months.
