What a day! We had Matthew Leibowitz as our guest lecturer, a Principal Software Engineer at Microsoft focusing on C# and .NET, who also introduced us to Skia Sharp 🕺🏾. Matthew showed us how to build a replica of a logo interpreter application from the ground up using .NET MAUI and its wonderful features 🔮! It was the process that got me hooked. Before creating the application, Matthew introduced an awesome way of breaking down the project using GitHub. I git why he did this: Created a repository Broke down the project into smaller pieces and labeled them as "Issues" Turned solutions into "Milestones" Linked it to Visual Studio Got to work! This process is not just a process, it's a life/code hack! You not only track the progress of your project but also mentally feel good about conquering the milestones you set for yourself. We also got to see what it's like to do unit testing, which was cool 🕵🏽♂️.
