Amid the euphoria of the re-emergence of the digital asset industry at Consensus 2024 was a very important and sobering panel discussion about how cryptography can drive age verification protection to keep kids safe online. Thank you to Beatrice O'Carroll, Jessica Darmoni, Cathy Yoon, Marc Hochstein and the rest of the panelists for shining a light on an urgent problem. The fact that social media companies are putting their considerable resources towards focus groups and listening tours and not on solutions is both infuriating and unsurprising.
