The foundation is inspiring students to take up #basketball through Hope through Hoops, a multi-year, multi-level basketball excellence program for tribal/urban slum students. #Teamappreciation Earlier this week my colleague Jinal Rajpopat celebrated 365 days at TribesforGOOD. From starting as an operations associate, she now drives our key partnerships! What makes a person stick to a company? 🤔 1. Job alignment -Matching job roles with career goals is essential. Jobs cannot only prioritize company growth but also consider the growth of the individuals too. 2. Positive company culture - A culture that lets everyone speak openly without their titles, where there is no fear. I remember my first few jobs where I used to be anxious just to go to office, was always on the edge. 3. Ability to manage hobbies along with a full time job. How do you manage your down time is essential, we haven’t focussed enough on enjoying our down time as a culture. 4. #Milestone Last week marked a significant milestone in my professional journey as we launched our inaugural Social Impact Lab in collaboration with Shalini Datta, founder of Aftertaste_India. This endeavor (Social Impact Lab) is not just a project; it's our collective dream to create lasting change stemming from -A long term desire to start our offline initiatives in Mumbai and expand our footprint. -A logical expansion of Aftertaste_India's livelihood program , identifying needs of the communities to support them in 1) Education 2) Waste management 3) Health and 4) Generating Livelihoods. Our dream is to support 1000 women and young adults in Malwani, Malad, focusing on three critical pillars: Financial Inclusion: Educate individuals (women and girls) on how to use mobile banking apps to access financial services, transfer money, and pay bills conveniently and securely. Aftertaste 2.0: Prepare the next generation for jobs by providing 21st-century skills, building their personality, and enhancing employability. Micro Entrepreneurs: Support small female led businesses like sandwich sellers, grocery stores in adapting to the tech-powered world.Enhance the skill sets of women to become artisans and small entrepreneurs. One of my personal goals for 2024 was to read books on diverse subjects. It started by taking the first step to use Blinkist app which summarises books. It takes just 15 minutes to read a book. Pretty doable, right. To make room, I had to let go of a few apps that I used to mindlessly scroll (There are approximately 2bn monthly active users worldwide for the app and I was one of them). I am currently reading #netpositive by Paul Polman and Andrew Winston. According to the authors, 1) A net positive business serves others. 2) It tries to repair, restore and regenerate It is asking us as the current workforce, corporate leaders to answer this question "Is the world better off because your business is in it?" Rangde, is supporting unbanked farmers, artisans and entrepreneurs and helping them start, sustain and grow their #livelihoods.
