You don’t have to reinvent the wheel to succeed. All you need is 1 advantage to beat your competitors. And the one I’d go all in on, we’ve seen work. To beat everyone, go all in on speed. Amazon bet on it. You receive products faster. Netflix bet on it. You watch shows/movies faster. Google bet on it. You find info faster. If you’re gonna bet 1 thing, go all in on speed. Get people what they want, but faster. Speed and efficiency are the name of the game. Move accordingly.

I wish I knew this perfect “winning combo” earlier. If I could have only this ONE advantage over a competitor… That would be speed. Netflix won by getting you watching faster. Google won by finding what you were looking for faster. Amazon won by getting you your stuff faster. But if I had only ONE advantage over the competitor themselves… That would be patience. Reed Hastings (Netflix) started in physical DVDs knowing he’d eventually be an internet streaming business one day… It took 9 years for the vision to happen. Larry Page & Sergey Brin (Google) started when there were 20 other search engines… But believed they’d still win by being better over time. And they did. Jeff Bezos (Amazon) was laughed at for 9 years of having no profit and losing money before even a dollar of profit was made. They were all willing to keep working without a loss of enthusiasm as if losing was IMPOSSIBLE. And that’s how they they won… Short-term speed + Long term patience = The Perfect Winning Combo.

This element in Amazon Prime Video frustrates me a lot But why does #Amazon write the duration of movies in minutes (165 min) not in hours & minutes (2h 45m) like #Netflix I’ve to calculate it in hours & minutes anyway before I decide to watch the movie. This made me realize the importance of focusing on the smallest things, Whether it’s website design or business, addressing your customer's smallest frustration can make a big impact.
