Founder & Director @ Gamma Tech ║ Radiation Safety Simplified

Thanks to The Australasian Radiation Protection Society (ARPS) for sharing our company Gamma Tech’s press release, and always being up-to-date with new innovation, here in Australia! Our partnership with Pearl reflects our belief that safety and innovation go hand in hand to advance oral healthcare outcomes. When dentistry merged into the digital realm, with digital radiographs (in the 1980s), each pixel of the radiograph could now be represented as one of several hundred shades of grey. This posed inherent limitations to our diagnostic abilities as our own eyes can only distinguish between 40-60 shades of grey. By equipping dental practitioners with computer vision for analysing and interpreting dental radiographs, we are opening the door to a new era of efficiency, precision, and transparency between practitioners and patients. The software can read and analyse several hundred shades of grey and detect nuances between pixels at an exponentially higher rate than us humans, resulting in earlier detection and less invasive treatment. The use of vibrant colours to depict different tooth parts, and detected pathologies also allows for more open and transparent communication between the dentist and patient, resulting in a greater degree of trust and engagement, and ultimately a higher case acceptance. Safe and optimally functioning x-ray apparatuses produce optimal radiographs, and now, with Second Opinion®, every dentist has an expert second set of eyes to assist with radiographic diagnosis, therefore enhancing and standardising patient care. ➡️Curious about Second Opinion®?
