There’s a quote I’ve always liked, which goes something like: "Most books should have been a blog post, most blog posts should have been a tweet, and most tweets should have been a thought." I’m noticing an exaggerated inverse of this at the moment on Youtube. There’s a lot of content that should have stayed as a thought but instead have become long professional-ish looking videos. A big reason, of course, is the ease with which people can now make content and turn a few scribbled (or Chat GPT-authored) notes into a synthetic voiceover. This isn’t an ai-is-bad post. But it’s interesting to see how its abuse can stretch the presence - and perceived significance - of ideas that really didn’t need to exist in the first place. (As I type this, Linkedin is inviting me to "Rewrite with AI". Bugger off, Linkedin)

Let us keep the comment section AI-free... Please? 🙄 Today I came across a post that was outlining the value of commenting on LinkedIn. I agreed with the statement so it made me stop scrolling. Of course, this was just a person shilling Commenter AI: More than a tool 🤣 💌 The comment section was quickly filled with these typical generic AI comments... I couldn't help to comment something like "I hope LinkedIn starts cracking down on AI comments soon or else this platform is doomed. I thought this platform couldn't get any more generic." This post has already disappeared from the platform and I can't find the person in question either. 👀 Is LinkedIn cracking down? I hope so! If you want to jeopardise your reputation by letting GPT write and post comments on random posts that's up to you. Do be aware that you might get shadow-banned or even completely banned once the algorithm spots this behavior. ❌ I've recently spotted a connection commenting on a scammy page using one of these "tools". For me personally, this instantly resulted in a removal/unfollow. You've got to exterminate the weeds before they take over the entire garden. Someone who isn't as cautious could've potentially clicked one of these links thanks to your AI comment. Thoughts? Use your AI tool, I dare you. #authenticityWins #algorithm #artificialStupidity

In this world where bots are busy doing the cha-ching with AI algorithms, there's still one thing they can't humanly do: the good old human chit-chat. People are like those rare, vintage records - they appreciate the crackles and pops of genuine conversations. Sure, AI can serve data to you like a bartender, but they lack the charm of a witty joke or a sympathetic ear. So, while bots try to decode the secret language of human emojis, we'll be here, sharing funny stories and swapping cat videos, because, let's face it, talking to a human is like a warm cup of coffee for the soul - and Siri's coffee just tastes weird. I write heart-to-heart content, and writing is my soul-printing hobby, so if anyone wants to get some content help, I'll be happy to help.

Ever get stuck trying to research a market? Chill, finding the pain points in a strange market is not as difficult as you think, And I'm not talking about using AI, blogs posts or anything like that. But a tested and trusted organic way to obtain pain points from real humans. Which has made my copies much more better and personalized. So, here's just a few but most trusted platforms I use to source real pain points; 1. YouTube Comments 2. Instagram comments 3. Quora Questions 4. Reddit posts These make your copy sound human and more easier to control your flow, Much better than strugling to fine tone robotic language and ending up with inconsistent writing styles.

When you see everyone on this platform posting listicles beginning with emojis and offering practical work advice to their Linked Innies, in a format that looks like a full five-paragraph essay but actually says nothing, this is what writers mean when we talk about The Great Flattening of Content brought on by the advent of AI. We know what the algorithm wants so we’ll give it to them. But at what cost? What are we taking away from each other by forcing fake sentiment upon one another? You don’t need to cater to the algorithm all the time. Consider what you might gain in sacrificing a few likes for the expression of the genuine self 💡🧠🗣️✍️💗

Here's a fun article on AI realizing the "dead internet theory" as we speak. This theory argues that human-created internet content has been replaced by controlled-AI to skew our perceptions of reality. McCOMMENTS: I’m not sure how I feel about LinkedIn’s new AI capability. So far, I hate it. For three years, I have worked *really* hard on my writing skills — trying hard to make my posts as entertaining as they are insightful. It’s a grind. Sometimes my ideas are “meh,” but I write them in an interesting way. Other times my ideas are decent but my writing is “meh.” Anyway, yesterday several of my LinkedIn besties, including David Kirkdorffer (he/him), posted lengthy-but-insightful LinkedIn articles that I wanted to engage with but didn’t have the time. (See below.) Good news for lazy, harried readers: Now there are AI-driven FAQs at the bottom of every posting! After skimming 2-3 of these TL;DR-type postings, I started skipping them altogether and going straight to the AI FAQs. Every time I hit the “summarize” button, I felt like I was eating a chocolate Dunkin Munchkin: Wracked with guilt — but I was powerless against it. Honestly, this is a terrible development, as I can already tell I’m going have to fight the urge to summarize (not read) every post. 🟥 And that's not the worst of it … We all know that the best way to grow one’s audience on LinkedIn is by commenting on others’ posts. It the Law of Reciprocity. Now, we can all simply scrape an AI FAQ and rewrite it as a comment without ever reading the post. Try it right now. It totally works. 🤮 to share!

Is anyone on here real? Have you heard about the 'Dead Internet' theory? Here’s the theory in a nutshell: The internet is now mostly bots, creating content, liking posts, and maybe even writing this post (joking... or am I? 🤔). These crafty digital beings are supposedly here to sway our choices and dominate our search results. Google, are you listening? The reality... If this was true, then I can’t wait for the day a bot can make my morning coffee or laugh at my jokes (a tough audience, I know). Bot or not? Next time you're scrolling, ask yourself – is this post by a fellow human or a clever bot trying to sell me something? (I'm 99.9% human, the 0.1% is just coffee). So, LinkedIn-verse, what do you think? Are we just a few organic keystrokes in a sea of algorithms? Drop a comment - and if you're a bot, make it a good one 😉 P.S. No, I don't want to "re-write with AI". But I do want to share my own thoughts, inspired, considered and creatively leaking from my own mind 🧠 As a marketer who's worked in the tech industry for years now, I've experienced the benefits of marrying AI concocted copy with my own thoughts and aligned them with business strategies. I mean the tools exist, so you'd be pretty dumb not to - especially if you want to spare a few hours in your already crammed calendar. But where I get most frustrated is when it's offered as the first solution. Was I not born with a brain to use, to solve, to critically analyse the message I'm communicating with my audience to ensure it lands with intention while balancing the tightrope of opinion. Let alone the laziness (but I'll save that for another day). I didn't have intentions to rag on this tool today - but alas I'm a human - with emotions and it pissed my creative soul off seeing the world consumed by efficiency. So, my challenge for you today? Sit in the process of stringing together your message. Searching for the words that exist to express yourself or business and enjoy the impact that flows from that. So no I shan't re-write with AI today, but thanks anyway!

But since AI can't stop being the centre of debates, some more meaningful than others, I wanted to have people know about this one specific concern about AI, more meaningful than the rest- and futurely to be in the limelight. At first, the title and context might refer to some idea of popular culture, but anyone who's aware of the pace of language models' development this year might definitely imagine this scenario as the only truly frightening aspect of GenAI growth and diversification in time. After reading, you grasp "Dead Internet" as a concept and you can imagine scenarios and/or alternatives. A little more interesting in topic than the blatant idea of "Skynet" random folk throw at a mere glance of GenAI. It's unusual that I post something non-business/corpoate/economy related when I rarely post, and something a bit somber in this case. LinkedIn isn't a blog for me, but if I can say anything about work: I have been fully converted to the religion of project control methodologies and portfolio management in my new work and learning from teacher, boss or on my own. I promise to share some nicer content next time 💀
