As parents, we all try to impress our kids with what we do, but at the end of the day, does it really matter? Because what matters most is being present for the little moments. The dance classes, school rehearsals, bestie's birthday parties, and sleepovers. We want to make sure our children don't have to work as hard as we do, but do they really care about the wealth we're trying to create? One parent shared that their child said, "All I ever wanted is YOU and not the wealth you are trying to create, all I want is a baby sister or brother, but you are too busy to even consider that." It's a powerful reminder that our children want our time and attention more than anything else. Another parent once said, "Kids are flowers on the funeral of your own grandparents and the best karma you will ever experience and the best brain f. you will ever get." DC: After reading the book entitled "Love & Hate" by Bill Halamandaris -- a book about Henri Landwirth, the founder of the Give Kids the World Village -- and "On Purpose" by Pamela Landwirth, I was struck with several thoughts. Below are just some of them: * There is enormous power in a vision. * People want purpose and meaning in their lives. They want their lives to count. To matter. * People want to work for an organization that is concretely making the world a better place in which to live. * People want to buy from businesses that are making a positive contribution to the world. * Both love and hate are powerful. But let's choose to go forward with love. * Parents, grandparents, and/or other guardians of critically-ill children carry enormous, hidden burdens. Let's try to notice those burdens and help them out. * Life is precious.

What the world needs now…
They didn’t ask you what side of the fence you are on, the color jersey you wear. They didn’t ask how you plan to vote nor which policy is the most critical. They raised their hand to support and defend the ideals written that formed this nation. To support this nation, to support you, against all enemies. Their sacrifice was not for one, but for all. Honor them by living in love. Yes, love. Love for your neighbor and your community; even for yourself. Allow yourself to have a conversation, to listen, to shake a hand, and to work and build something together. Understand it was their sacrifice that allows you to choose love, as it also allows you to choose hate. But to honor them - TO HONOR THEM - choose love.
