Today we mark a special day on our calendars - World Caring Day. It's a day dedicated to fostering empathy, kindness, and compassion, and to encouraging acts of care towards others. In our fast-paced world, it's easy to get wrapped up in our own lives and forget about the importance of caring for others. Today, let's change that. Here are a few ways you can show your care today: Send a message to a friend or colleague. Let them know you appreciate them. Offer help to someone who may be struggling. Your support might make all the difference. Make a donation to a cause close to your heart. Take care of yourself. Yes, self-care is also a form of caring! Remember, every act of kindness, no matter how small, can have a big impact. It's the little things that count. So, let's spread the love and make World Caring Day every day. After all, we're all in this together. Happy World Caring Day everyone! #WorldCaringDay #KindnessMatters #Empathy #Compassion #CaringForOthers

There are many ways to help people in need, 🌿 Depending on:🌿 ↪️Your time ↪️Resources and ↪️Interests. 🍃🌱Here are some ideas:🌱🍃 ♦️🔹Donate money or goods You can support a cause that you care about by giving money or items that they need. For example, you can donate to a food bank, a homeless shelter, an animal shelter, or a disaster relief fund. You can also donate your old clothes, books, toys, or household items to a charity or a thrift store ♦️🔹Volunteer your time and skills You can offer your time and talents to help others in various ways. You can volunteer at a soup kitchen, a nursing home, a hospital, a school, or an environmental project. You can also tutor, mentor, coach, or counsel someone who needs guidance or support. You can use your skills in art, music, writing, or anything else to create something for someone who would appreciate it. ♦️🔹Spread kindness and compassion The simplest way to help someone is to show them that you care. You can check on your friends, neighbors, and relatives who might be lonely, stressed, or struggling. You can send them a message, a card, a gift, or a hug. You can listen to them, comfort them, or cheer them up. You can also smile at strangers, compliment someone, or do a random act of kindness. 💠🌀These are just some of the ways you can help people in need. No matter how big or small your contribution is, it can make a difference in someone’s life. Thank you for wanting to help others! 😊 🔹♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️🔹

I compassionately coach people to tune into their inner strength | Grief & Caregiver Coaching | People Development | Digipreneur
Doing good does not require resources but an intention. Intentions of just helping another human, an animal, or simply yourself without an expectation of receiving something back. Random acts of goodness bring positivity, spread hope and inspire others. 5 small ways to be good and do good are: 🌸Hold the door Opening and holding doors for old, children, or any stranger in public places. 🌸Support local business Shop at your locally owned business or community shops and leave a positive review! 🌸Offer a compliment Offer a genuine compliment to a stranger about their smile, outfit, hair, or anything you can notice. 🌸Donate Blood Spread humanity by donating blood at your nearest government hospital or blood donation camps. 🌸 Plant a flower Found a public place devoid of colours? Plant a beautiful flower! Alternatively, you can randomly gift flowers or flower seeds to your neighbours and colleagues. What random act of goodness someone did do for you, and you vividly remember? #kindness #doinggood #ideas #coaching #selfcare

The holiday Season is a wonderful time to spread kindness and joy to others 🎄 Here are 5️⃣ things you can do for others: 1️⃣ Volunteer your time ⌛ Your time and effort can make a huge difference in someone else's life. So many organizations are in need of volunteers over the holidays. 2️⃣ Donate to a charity 🥫 Your donation can help those in need and make the holiday season brighter for them. Take canned goods a food pantry or donate a toy for a child in need. 3️⃣ Write heartfelt notes or letters 🗒 Simply let others know you're thinking of them. Handwritten notes can be especially meaningful in the age of digital communcation. 4️⃣ Perform random acts of kindness 🚪 Small gestures can have a big impact and create a ripple effect of kindness. Hold the door for someone, offer to pay for a coffee or just smile! 5️⃣ Share homemade treats 🍪 Bake or cook something special and share it with neighbors, friends, or colleagues. I’m not sure how to start this post eloquently so I’m just going to jump right into it… The people of Maui need our collective support right now. The locals of Lahaina are saying the devastation from the fires is far worse than the media is portraying and that the government has been extremely slow to help and even actively blocking the locals from helping themselves. The locals are requesting aid goes directly to them and their immediate needs, as a lot of the bigger orgs will be reserving some of the donated funds for rebuilding and it will take time for locals to see that money/the impact of it. If you work for a company that has a give back program or would be open to donating product here are some of the immediate needs: -Toiletries & Feminie Hygeine Products -Diapers -Blankets/Bedding -Non perishable food -Water -all type of tech items (power cords, laptops, phones, extension cords) -Tents (especially the big kind at events/festivals) -Sleeping Bags -Pillows -Baby Clothes -Men & Women’s Clothes -Kids Clothes -Kids Toys -Presciption medications, blood pressure meds, anxiety meds- basically any type of prescriptions people take on the daily Truly almost anything you use in your daily life is needed, many people escaped with only the clothes on their back. I live on Oahu and there are daily cargo flights and ships taking supplies over to Maui. I’m happy to receive any donations and deliver same day to the drop-off spots here. Alternatively, I will actively work to find you a Maui local to receive the donation directly if that makes more sense for the items being donated. Comment or message me and we’ll coordinate! Finally, you can donate directly the Lahaina local families by selecting some off this spreadsheet: https://lnkd.in/gAhVsAVm If you want to educate yourself further on the immediate needs, I highly recommend following along with Kai Lenny’s Instagram stories, he’s been actively helping from the beginning and is updating regularly about what they need right now. #mauistrong #mauifires #mauiwildfires #donationswelcome #donationsneeded #donationsappreciated #donationdrive

Summer is over and the weather is starting to cool down on the Rez. Fall always brings so much beauty but it also brings many worries and hardships for the people on Pine Ridge. Freezing temperatures and lack of food and proper clothes are a constant concern that too many people face. One Spirit Programs such as 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬,and the 𝐎𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 are always busy, but the fall and winter months always bring an immense number of calls and messages from people needing help with basic necessities. Last week, a mother with five children called to ask for firewood. When our wood vendor went to the house, he checked her stove for safety. With the mother's consent we received the "repairs for safety" pictures below. A One Spirit donor stepped forward to assist in buying her a new stove and pipes and repairing her ceiling, which was a serious fire hazard, along with setting her up with a load of wood. Now, it is set to keep the home warm through the winter. This woman’s experience is representative of many more homes, where children, elders, and other family members struggle to meet their basic needs during the cold winter months. Our Wood Program includes: 🔥 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐒 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 🔥 𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐏𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝 🔥 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄/𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦, and 🔥 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 We believe EVERYONE deserves to be warm, fed, and sheltered through every season. This is why your continuous support is so important. By supporting One Spirit with a donation, you are helping provide these basic necessities to the people of Pine Ridge. DONATE TODAY and be a part of our #impact this winter. Link is in the comments.
